Prices

Costs of typical jobs

Electrical Installation Services

Our pricing includes labor, all essential materials (cables, white sockets and switches, pendant lights, fuse boards), and certification. To estimate the cost, simply count the number of sockets, lights, switches, and other fixtures you need, while considering the type of walls in your property.

Please note: Decorative materials such as downlights, wall lights, chandeliers, and dimmer switches are not included in the price.

Pricing per socket, fixture, or outlet:

  • £100 for installations in hollow walls.
  • £140 for masonry walls requiring wall chasing.
  • £100 for surface-mounted installations using PVC conduit and trunking.
  • £140 for surface-mounted installations using metal conduit and trunking.

Fuse Board Installation

The cost of installing a new fuse board is included in our electrical installation pricing, along with an Electrical Installation Certificate. Rest assured, the fuse board provided will fully comply with current electrical regulations—there are no hidden fees or extra charges.

Important Note:
We install new fuse boards exclusively as part of a complete electrical installation. This policy ensures the safety, reliability, and compliance of the entire electrical system. Upgrading a fuse board without addressing outdated or faulty wiring can create risks, as the new board may expose underlying issues in the existing wiring.

By installing a fuse board only alongside new wiring, we guarantee that the entire system meets modern standards and delivers optimal performance and safety for your property.

Central Heating (CH) and Hot Water (HW) Wiring

Our pricing includes all necessary cables and connectors to complete the job. Please note that the cost of thermostats and valves is not included in the pricing.

Pricing:

  • £160 for wiring a CH/HW system with valves.
  • £160 for wiring a smart thermostat.
  • £120 for wiring a regular thermostat.

Pricing:

  • £120 for connecting fixed appliances, such as ovens or hobs.
  • £120 for replacing a bathroom extractor fan.
  • £200 for replacing a kitchen hood.

Lights and Sockets

This service covers the fitting of new items or the replacement of existing ones within an established electrical installation. Please note that the minimum call-out charge is £120.

Pricing:

  • £5 for fitting a lamp.
  • £20 for a standard light fitting or downlight.
  • £15 for light switch, dimmer switch, socket, or similar fixtures.

Hourly Rates

Hourly rates apply to situations where it is difficult to set a fixed price, such as investigating and repairing faults with unpredictable durations.

Pricing:

  • £120 for the first 3 hours.
  • £40 per hour thereafter.

This flexible pricing ensures you only pay for the time required to complete the job efficiently and professionally.

Notice: Detailed Estimate

The cost of a detailed estimate starts at £200 and may increase for larger properties or more complex projects. The estimate includes:

  • A site visit to assess the property and discuss your requirements.
  • A breakdown of all costs, including labor, materials, and any additional services.
  • Recommendations for the best solutions tailored to your needs.

Important Note: Once the work is completed, the final bill will be reduced by the cost of the estimate, making it free for confirmed projects.

This ensures you receive a transparent, professional evaluation with no hidden surprises.

All works are performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (IET) wiring regulations, BS 5839-6:2019+A1:2020 standards for domestic fire alarms and BS EN 50292 requirements for CO alarms. This is important for keeping electrical system safe, efficient and in peak condition.
